Former President & CEO , American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA)
Chip Rogers is President & CEO of Rogers Capitol Consulting, providing strategic advocacy and government relations counsel.
Previously, he served as President & CEO of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), the leading voice for the U.S. lodging industry, and as President & CEO of AAHOA, the world’s largest hotel owners association.
During his tenure at AHLA, Chip delivered landmark legislative and victories for the industry and earned national recognition for his leadership. He has been named to Business Travel News’ “25 Most Influential Executives” list, selected five times as one of The Hill’s “Top Lobbyists,” honored as Job Creators Network’s “Small Business Defender of the Year,” and recognized by Washingtonian Magazine among the “Most Influential People in Washington.”
Under his leadership, AHLA was named to the Association of Society Executives’ “100 Associations That Will Save the World,” received the White House Presidential Award for its Pledge to America’s Workers, and earned the 2020 PR Week Purpose Award.
Before entering the hospitality sector, Chip was elected 6 times to the Georgia General Assembly, he was unanimously chosen by his peers to serve two terms as Senate Majority Leader. He also served as National Chairman of the Majority Leaders Conference and on the boards of the American Legislative Exchange Council and the State Legislative Leaders Foundation.
Chip currently serves on the board of Safe House Project, a national nonprofit dedicated to ending human trafficking and supporting survivors.
A graduate of Georgia Tech, Chip also holds an MBA from Georgia State University.
